Since 1971, Bumbershoot has drawn artists representing the best in music, film, comedy, spoken word, dance, theatre, performance, and visual arts to Seattle Center every Labor Day weekend! Kids activities, concerts with Jane’s Addiction, Tony Bennett and loads more! Tickets available online.

Blues for Food Fest

Enjoy live music by some of the finest blues bands in the Northwest, fresh tasty food from local vendors, a fabulous auction of luscious, homemade pies, children’s gardening activities, and free parking! Blues for Food Fest raises money and awareness for the people and organizations in Seattle that grow food for the hungry. Proceeds from the festival go to P-Patch Giving Gardens, the P-Patch Trust and the Washington Blues Society’s Musicians Relief Fund. Bring your donations of non-perishable food and fresh produce to the festival. Tickets available online.

Ahoy Maties! Set sail aboard the historic Tall Ships, the Lady Washington, and Hawaiian Chieftain on Lake Washington over Labor Day weekend. Both ships will depart the Carillon Point guest dock and passengers will be treated to a “mock battle” and fun facts about these unique historical ships. Sailings are approximately 2 hours. The 2:00pm sailings are family friendly, and the 5:00pm sailings will be cocktail cruises (adults only) and beer/wine will be available for purchase. Boxed “picnic meals” are included for all sailings. Tickets available online.

Thousands of men, women and children will gather on Monday, September 3, as part of a national movement. The rallies are being hosted in over 100 major cities, coast to coast, for Improving Birth’s “National Rally for Change on Labor Day”.
